Note: Comprehension, Pronunciation, Review. This class has been designed as a juncture between the 100 and the 200 levels. It is perfect for those who want to build strong conversational and pronunciation skills and review some grammar before moving on to the next textbook (Saison 2). This class is also a great choice for students currently enrolled in 105/201 who are interested in attending class twice a week, and in augmenting their textbook-based class with a course focusing on conversation and pronunciation.

Description: Bring your walking shoes and notebooks for five weeks of Intermediate art critique and Portland Art Museum visits. This class will enrich your vocabulary and improve your communication skills through close observation of artworks and slow looking. During each museum visit, students will have the opportunity to present individual critiques or share as a group. The first class will be held in the Kamm House; the following four will meet at the PAM.

DescriptionDiscover and learn more about French popular music, "La chanson française", including French hip hop and the bridges that exist between American and French music. Parisian singer songwriter Eric John Kaiser will perform songs for you in class from iconic French singer songwriters, as well as discuss lyrics, life histories and how France’s rich culture has flourished with this music.

Street parking on SW 20th St. facing the Kamm House is limited. Free parking is available in Lot A at SW 18th and SW Columbia. Please obtain a parking pass from the office.

After 6 pm weekdays, students may park in the Willamette Dental lot at SW 20th and SW Jefferson as available.
