Linda Fuchs

Linda grew up in Switzerland and is a native speaker of both French and German. She has a Master’s in Slavic Linguistics from NYU and a Master’s in Teaching with a French endorsement from Lewis and Clark College. Her experience includes six years teaching French in universities and over fifteen years of experience teaching French to children of all ages. Linda was the president of the Alliance Française in San Antonio, Texas, and founder of its language school. She has done in-depth research in the area of phonetics and is a certified DELF/DALF examiner-corrector. Linda has been with the Portland Alliance since 2010 and after 3 years as Pedagogy Manager, is currently the School Director.

Description: Edito is a method geared toward adults and mature adolescents wishing to gain mastery of CECR level B1. A variety of societal and cultural themes are presented throughout the book using authentic documents (articles, video and audio clips), including the media, arts & culture, travel, history, the environment, the working world, and more. Edito classes can be taken in any sequence; thus the books (text and exercise book) are used for several terms. Each Edito class covers a different thematic unit.

Parking Information

Street parking on SW 20th St. facing the Kamm House is limited. Free parking is available in Lot A at SW 18th and SW Columbia. Please obtain a parking pass from the office.

After 6 pm weekdays, students may park in the Willamette Dental lot at SW 20th and SW Jefferson as available.
