Elene graduated from the École du Louvre with a Masters of Arts in Museum Education and Cultural Studies. Originally from the Republic of Georgia, she was exposed to French starting from elementary school. She enjoyed teaching children and adults in various Parisian museums and researching for her doctorate at the University of Paris VIII before moving to Portland in 2014.

Description: Come practice your French and talk about art, whether you’re an expert or just curious. Learn about practical aspects of art; how materials influence both form and content of an artwork; what each one of them brings to the creative process and the finished work; how materials influence an artist’s work and the viewer’s perception. This class is focused on conversation and exchanges between students.
