Join us to explore chocolate with a local crafter, Cristina Yen of A Yen for Chocolate. You’ll be able to order her handmade
chocolates just in time for Mother’s Day!
We will begin by tasting two artisan "bean to bars" to compare and contrast the difference in country of origin or bean varietal, depending on availability of the freshest product at that time. We will learn the proper way to taste chocolate bars, as well as the chocolate-making process and terminologies.
We will continue our journey by tasting a flight of three different bonbons. As we taste together, Cristina will explain her technique, the
ingredients used, flavor combinations and a few guidelines on chocolate and beverage pairing.
From Cristina Yen:
“My goal is to create chocolates that make you happy. Each one is handmade and bursting with flavor, to give you a small moment of pleasure with each bite. I find inspiration in the bounty of the changing seasons, through my travels, and in the holiday and celebration customs of many cultures. I use only the finest chocolate and natural flavors. My filled chocolate collections are always made-to-order, to ensure you experience them at their freshest.”
