Mimosa and Eucalyptus in Provence: a Suleko Perfume Masterclass

Take a journey through a mimosa forest in Provence while crafting your own perfume! This event is online, so gather or your mother, in honor of this being Mother's Day weekend. Sipping on mimosas during the event is optional :) Each participant is allowed one guest who can share the screen and materials.

Anastasia Sokolow, Suleko's founder and perfume maker, will present this masterclass via Sulékó’s Showroom in Paris.

Explore spectacular Mimosa Forest in Provence

In winter, the “Route du Mimosa” is a wave of gold, sparkling like the sun, rolling between the snow-covered Alps and the Mediterranean Sea. There lies the Massif du Tanneron, the largest mimosa forest in Europe. I want you to vibrantly experience this magical moment through the eyes of a passionate perfume designer!

I will first tell you about the history of Mimosa in Provence; how a tree from Australia became the symbol of Provence. Then, I will share with you three of my favorite treks to discover Mimosa: we will start in the heart of the Tanneron Forest and dive into an ocean of Mimosa, then we will go further up the hills where Mimosa is intertwined with eucalyptus trees; finally, we will hike on majestic Esterel, the Mediterranean coastal mountain. As you watch my pictures, you will fully immerse in Provence and together we will unlock the scented atmosphere of each trek. You will discover how climate, location and soil impact your perception of Mimosa.

Finally, I will show you how Mimosa and Eucalyptus provided by local farmers are processed to obtain a precious “absolue” and essential oil for perfume creation. I will tell you about the language of scents and the secret messages locked in the scent of Mimosa and Eucalyptus. I wish to bring to your home the beauty and poetry of Provence in full bloom and inspire you to visit it yourself one day!

Each participant will receive:

- One dried Eucalyptus leave and/or Mimosa flower.

- Mimosa Absolue diluted in alcohol (0,1 ml sample vial)

- Eucalyptol diluted in alcohol (0,1 ml sample vial)

- Albho- Eau de Parfum (2ml spray sample)

- Paper blotters to discover the scent ingredients and the perfume
